I’ve recently updated a resource I often share with my clients: a curated list of 15+ French podcasts. Each one is designed to help learners of all levels, from beginners to advanced speakers, immerse themselves in the language. And today, I’m sharing it with you too!
1-Why listen to podcasts when learning French?
You’ve probably heard this advice before: immerse yourself in the language. The more you listen, the more your brain absorbs French sounds, rhythms, and expressions.
But here’s the challenge I’ve noticed while coaching my clients: it’s not always easy to find the “right” content.
Learners often ask:
-
🤔Which podcasts are clear and well-produced?
-
🤔Which ones publish new episodes regularly?
-
🤔Where can I find podcasts at a speed I can actually follow?
That’s why I created this list—to save you time and help you find content that is clear, useful, and motivating.
2- What’s included in my French podcast list?
The list features more than 15 French podcast recommendations that are suitable for learners at different stages.
For each podcast, you’ll find:
-
📝 A short description of the content and style
-
📄 Information about transcripts (free, paid, or not available)
-
⏱️ The speaking speed (slow, medium, or natural)
This way, you can quickly choose the podcasts that match your level and learning goals.

3-How to make the most of French podcasts?
-
Start small – Don’t pressure yourself to understand everything. Focus on catching keywords or expressions.
-
Use transcripts – When available, read along to connect sounds and spelling.
-
Repeat episodes – Listening two or three times helps train your ear.
-
Mix speeds – Try slower podcasts first, then challenge yourself with natural-speed conversations.
👉Share your favorite podcasts!
This list is my little gift 🎁 to encourage you on your French learning journey. But of course, it’s not complete : there are always new gems to discover.
Do you have a favorite French podcast that’s not on my list?
Share it in the comments, I’d love to hear about it and maybe add it in the future!
Happy listening!
